Andrew (Andy) is a seasoned lawyer with a focus on the intersection of law, technology, and privacy. His practice is focused on representing clients in union-side labour, employment, and professional regulations matters. As a partner at Pink Larkin, Andy draws on his extensive experience to serve clients across Atlantic Canada. He appears before the Supreme Courts and Courts of Appeal in Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island and practices before labour arbitrators and labour boards throughout the Atlantic Provinces.
Andy provides comprehensive legal services to various public- and private-sector trade unions operating in Atlantic Canada, as well as professional bodies and individual professionals facing disciplinary issues. His experience extends to representing workers in various sectors, including the marine industry, healthcare, government, and transportation. Additionally, Andy is well-versed in technology matters, offering advice on areas such as privacy obligations, forensic preservation and recovery of data and electronic records, and responses to search warrants and production orders.
An active contributor to the legal community, Andy frequently speaks on topics related to labour and employment law and professional regulation. He has also held leadership positions outside of his work with Pink Larkin, serving as past President of the Canadian Bar Association’s Nova Scotia Labour and Employment Law Section, and past Vice President for Nova Scotia of the Canadian Association of Labour Lawyers.
