David Wallbridge

A dedicated advocate for his clients, David is committed to finding pragmatic solutions to their legal disputes. Practicing out of Pink Larkin’s Halifax office, David focuses on union-side labour law, employment law, professional regulation, and litigation.

Catering to a diverse clientele, including labour unions and individuals grappling with workplace issues, David navigates a spectrum of public-sector environments and private-sector industries. His client-centric approach involves tailoring strategies to meet the unique needs of each case. He regularly participates in mediation and other expedited methods to resolve conflicts; when matters do not settle, David leverages his experience litigating before labour arbitrators, labour boards and the courts to advocate for his clients and their position.

David’s advocacy work often extends to legislative and human rights issues impacting Nova Scotia workers. In this capacity, David has appeared before the Law Amendments Committee of the Nova Scotia Legislature to advocate for progressive legislative change. He has successfully secured changes to the Nova Scotia Human Rights Act to extend greater protection for Nova Scotians with disabilities.

In addition to his work with clients, David is a regular speaker on a variety of employment and workplace issues, such as the duty to accommodate, drug and alcohol policies, off-duty conduct, sick leave benefits and the duty of fair representation. Outside of work, David takes pride in being a volunteer at his child’s amazing public school and a Halifax Minor Baseball coach.
