Both precise and practical in her approach, Mary’s work at Pink Larkin is focused on union-side labour law, employee-side employment law, and administrative law matters.
Mary’s experience includes representing clients in administrative proceedings before various labour boards and human rights commissions, as well as in grievance arbitrations, judicial reviews, and appellate cases. In her employment practice, she represents individual employees with respect to all manner of employment concerns, including employment contract reviews, terminations of employment, and human rights and accommodation matters. Mary has appeared before the Nova Scotia Supreme Court, Nova Scotia Court of Appeal, Prince Edward Island Supreme Court, Prince Edward Island Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court of Canada.
In addition to her work for the firm, Mary is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Advocates’ Society. She is a past Member-at-Large on the Advocates’ Society’s Labour & Employment Practice Group, and is currently the Chair of the CBA-NS Constitutional & Human Rights section.
