Pink Larkin Welcomes New Articling Clerks
We’re excited to welcome articling clerks Barett Poley in Fredericton, and Kaley Kennedy and Joshua Penney to our Halifax office.
Barett is a New Brunswick local who graduated with his J.D. from the University of New Brunswick in 2026. He additionally holds an English Literature degree with a specialization in linguistics. Barett is interested in labour law, corporate law, and administrative law. In his free time, he enjoys playing with his children, writing, and fixing vintage Japanese motorcycles.
Kaley received her J.D. from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University in 2026. While in law school, she was a recipient of the J.S.D. Tory Writing Award and the Sarah Welch Paper Prize in Criminal Law. Kaley also worked as the Chief Student Editor of the Dalhousie Law Journal. Prior to attending law school, Kaley had a career in political organizing and communications for progressive and membership-based organizations focused on workers' rights, housing justice, and stronger public services. Kaley is an enthusiastic lake swimmer and avid cyclist.
Also a recent graduate of Dalhousie's Schulich School of Law, Joshua summered with us in 2025 and brings additional hands-on experience from the Legal Aid Commission in Corner Brook. He has a strong record of leadership and community involvement, including mentoring fellow law students and contributing to the legal, arts, and mental health communities.
Through our articling program, our clerks are integral and valued members of our team, working closely with experienced lawyers while contributing to meaningful client work and outcomes.
