ANNOUNCEMENT – New Associates
We are pleased to welcome three new associate lawyers to our Halifax team: Harshini Arumugam, Shehu Mustafa, and Gwen Reid.
Harshini earned her law degree from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University with a specialization in Aboriginal and Indigenous Law. She previously completed an undergraduate in the Honours Law and Legal Studies program, with a minor in Gender Studies, from Carleton University. She is developing a labour, employment, and human rights law practice.
Shehu’s practice spans litigation, alternative dispute resolution and employment law. Called to the bar in Nigeria in 2007 and in Nova Scotia in 2022, Shehu previously practised litigation and alternative dispute resolution in Nigeria. Shehu also worked at law firms in Singapore, London and at the Southern Africa Litigation Center, a human rights NGO in Johannesburg. He holds a Bachelor of Laws from Nigerian Law School and a Master of Laws from the National University of Singapore.
A graduate of the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University, Gwen is developing her practice in our labour, employment, and professional regulation groups. Prior to attending law school, Gwen obtained a Bachelor of Science with a double major in Biology and Philosophy from the University of Toronto.
“At Pink Larkin, we are committed to developing legal talent through mentorship, collaboration, and continuous learning. We’re pleased to have Harshini and Gwen continue with the firm and to welcome Shehu to the team, and we look forward to working with each of them as they grow their practices and contribute to the clients and communities we serve,” says Jillian Houlihan, Partner.
