Julia is a dedicated advocate who strives to ensure that her work meets the client’s legal needs. She joined Pink Larkin as an Associate in 2024 after articling in the Halifax office.
Julia utilizes her legal expertise to assist clients in the areas of labour law, employment law, civil litigation, constitutional law, administrative law, and professional regulation. In her practice, Julia participates in labour arbitrations, mediations, and civil matters. She also assists professional regulators and non-profits with reviewing and updating their foundational documents.
Julia received her law degree from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University in 2023. Julia participated in the Philip C Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition while in law school. Alongside developing critical legal advocacy skills, she received international and national accolades for her work. Prior to attending law school, Julia graduated from the University of King’s College with a Bachelor of Arts in Law, Justice, and Society in 2020.
During her time at the Schulich School of Law, Julia received numerous awards in recognition of her academic achievements, such as the Donald A Kerr Memorial Prize, the Honourable W.A. Henry Prize, the Insolvency Institute of Canada Prize in Insolvency Studies, the Ronald St. J. MacDonald Prize, the W.A. Tomblin Memorial Prize, the William D. Outhit Prize, the Howard Wetston Evidence Prize in Law, and the Edna Chambers Class of ’77 Judicial Remedies Prize.
In her spare time, Julia enjoys reading, watching reality TV, and frequenting Halifax’s many restaurants.
